The CS1184 is NIAP-certified and meets the requirements of Evaluation Assurance Level 2 (EAL2+) for PSS devices (Peripheral Sharing Switch) according to HID-Protection Profile v2.1 for input devices. It therefore fulfils the latest security requirements defined by the US Department of Defense for peripheral device switches. The fulfilment of these requirements ensures maximum data security when a single input console (keyboard, mouse, speaker etc.) is used for more than one computer. Conformity with Protection Profile v2.1 certifies that no other USB devices can be connected to the console ports of the CS1184 and that only one keyboard and one mouse can be installed. This achieves an extremely high level of security, stringent protection and a high degree of data integrity.
